Panamerican Proceeding

Lend me an ear and you will hear the rants and raves of this volunteer. "Nothing is stronger than the heart of a volunteer" says Lt. Col. James H. Doolittle (parden the pun), but perhaps no one is crazier either. Why do we care so much? Herein lies a glimpse of my Pan-American experience.

Mom's Visit

Visiting the original host family. Gerardo Jr., Neris, Nicole, Gerardo, and Sarita.
Enjoying the Boquete flowers.

Verenero flowers.

The school in San Francisco de Piriati where I live (Grades 1-6). Mom helped me teach an English classes where they learned "Hello" and "Nice to meet you." After the initial shyness, each student practiced their new phrases with the visitor.
Mom playing "Uno" with Bella.
I think in this picture I'm explaining Einstein's Theory of Relativity. I'm also apparently sweating a lot. It's a hard concept to explain.
Uno!
A souvenir for Wisconsin, ´cept don't think palms grow there.
