Panamerican Proceeding

Lend me an ear and you will hear the rants and raves of this volunteer. "Nothing is stronger than the heart of a volunteer" says Lt. Col. James H. Doolittle (parden the pun), but perhaps no one is crazier either. Why do we care so much? Herein lies a glimpse of my Pan-American experience.

Glimpse of Peace Corps Life

As Moritz Thomsen pointed out: people here aren't lazy, they're exhausted. Similarly, I'd rather not consider myself lazy. But I tell you what, that hammock looks pretty darn inviting right now. If idle hands are the devil's workshop, what is an idle mind? An idle spirit?

I knew this trip would be great preparation for the P.C. but I also didn't know that it would be so different either; at least in my head. I will probably find out that it will be exactly the same. I need to make lists.
1) Wake up
2) Go to school
3) Don't go to the bar
4) Don't be so lazy....I mean....exhausted
